•Liaising regularly with authors, publishers, distributors and printers by phone and email;•Checking that authors have provided all the required materials and paperwork;•Producing or working to a style checklist to ensure consistency in hyphenation, capitalization, formatting of references, etc;•Preparing preliminary pages for the title, contents and preface of a publication;•Ensuring that publications are prepared on budget and to schedule;•Managing marketing and business activities•Prioritizes and tracks projects and maintains conversion and publishing schedules; coordinates conversion process with vendors; quality-checks content.•Oversees the posting and maintenance of publications content on the center’s website. •Coordinates with designers, developers, and the website team to determine and adapt best practices for delivering the content on the web.•Manages conversions of the content to desired formats, including html, indesign, and epub files.•Quality-checks final digital products to ensure center’s standard of high quality.•Coordinates with electronic retailers to distribute various versions of e-books and track sales.•Manages short-term and long-term goals and strategies for the production of center’s digital publications.•Offers guidance and recommends improvements to content managers about preparing content for digital publication.•Uses market research to generate monthly reports for sales, conversion costs, content usage, and publications Web traffic to inform content decisions. • Performs administrative duties, including organization of files, communication with customers, and compiling data and research to share with stakeholders.
Qualifications Experience:•An ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in publishing and in a technology-oriented information environment. •A minimum of 2 years experience of editing and proofreading •Experience in digital publishing and e-marketing is an asset •Experience working with e-book platforms and software.
