Reporting Channel/Interactions:
•Reports directly to the Head of Department with a doted-line reporting to the IT Dept. regarding Social Media Applications
•Strong interaction/coordination with the MPC Team, Local Press Office, students and all university departments to revive the issuance of “ECHO” Magazine and to maintain up-to-date Social Media Accounts
•Interacts with potential magazine sponsors
•Coordinates and communicates with local foreign and international press/media contacts
Educational Background:
•BA in Mass Communication or Journalism, preferred with basic know-how of graphic/web-design
Experience:
•1 – 3 years of experience in PR and/or editorial field with extensive Digital/Social Media Experience (Tools and Techniques)

Duties and Responsibilities
•Work on reviving the bi-annually issuance of the GUC “ECHO” magazine; through compiling the material related and working on the related editing/production
•Maintain a strong relation with the MPC Team, Local Press Office and GUC Departments to stay updated on latest trends, activities and projects
•Create an attractive well-presented GUC image using social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter …etc.
•Assist in the planning and execution process of the annual Press/Media Plan
•Handle press clippings of ads and PRs for documentation purposes
•Prepare regular news/releases for use on Social Media, GUC Website and for appearance in local (foreign) publications
•Ensure increased university visibility through regular interaction/traffic and prompt connectivity through the various tools
•Monitor and report trends, traffic and findings to ensure proper prompt re-actions
•Keep close track and view of overall similar business developments and recommend ideas for accordingly proper strategy planning
•Assist in the preparation of various reports and presentations
•Represent the GUC during events, fairs …etc.
•Execute departmental assigned tasks

•Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, Web-design Know-how
•Language Skills:
Arabic – Written & Spoken Excellent
English - Written & spoken Excellent
German – Written & Spoken Excellent is an asset
•Organizational Skills
•Administrative Skills: Strong editorial skills

•Interpersonal Skills: Very attentive to details
