This position is responsible for the implementation and management of the Contractor’s Quality Control Program, including the coordination, supervision and documentation of construction inspection and testing services for the project. The QC Representative is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project’s contractual requirements, and maintains the standard of excellence established by the Joint Venture. The duties listed above are not all inclusive. The Quality Control Representative will follow other instructions and perform other related duties as requested by the Quality Control Manager. Duties: 1. Ensure all work meets or exceeds the contract specifications and standard of excellence of the Joint Venture. 2. Ensure all materials meet or exceed the contract specifications. 3. Document, monitor, track, and submit all testing and inspection records and data. 4. Coordinate and schedule field testing and inspections. 5. Monitor daily construction activities and materials delivered to the site. 6. Observe and verify special inspection and material testing perform by third parties. 7. Document all inspection and testing in QC reports.
Qualifications 1. Knowledgeable in quality control testing and inspection for underground utilities, soil, concrete, structural steel, tunneling, jet grouting, deep foundations, precast and cast in place concrete structures. 2. Implement quality control program for a heavy civil construction project. 3. Ability to work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, super intendents ,engineering staff, consultants and owner’s representatives. 4. Ability to coordinate inspection and testing with subcontractors. 5. Ability to record and organize all necessary documentation to memorialize the implementation ,maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Control Program. 6. Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgment.
