1.The Treasurer will be responsible to develop and manage strategies, operations and policies related to the treasury function, including cash management, foreign exchange, borrowing, and payment processing. 2.Formulate and implement investment policies, including the establishment of risk parameters. 3.Manage cash and investment portfolio. 4.Maintain good and strong relations with the Financial Institutions. 5.Develop processes and systems to determine daily cash position; track and manage company funding. 6.Forecast sources and uses of cash. 7.Assess, manage and mitigate foreign currency exposure. 8.Monitor credit control and Cash-in collection activities. 9.Manage payment processing and fraud prevention functions. 10.Ensure treasury activities are in compliance with treasury policies, accounting principles, governance policies and internal controls. 11.Regularly carry out reconciliations / oversee regular reconciliations by the Finance Team. 12.Liaise with relevant staff and stakeholders to ensure the financial viability of the organization. 13.Make Board Members aware of their Financial Position and take a lead in interpreting financial data to them. 14.Regularly report the financial position at Board meetings (balance sheet, cash flow etc.). 15.Participate in the production of an annual Budget and quarterly Forecast. 16.Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures and controls are in place, i.e.: a.Cheque signatories b.Purchasing limits c.Purchasing systems d.Petty cash/ float e.Salary payments f.Income Tax and NI payments g.Others as appropriate Competencies
Qualifications -Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent. -MBA, CTP, CFM or CMA would be as asset. -Strong treasury background. -Seven to 10 years of experience in finance and treasury, with a minimum of 4 years in a corporate treasury. -Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. -Good knowledge of Financial Laws and Regulations. -Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management.
