The Academic Advisor is in charge of collaborating and networking with key academic institutions throughout Egypt. The Academic Advisor will foster relationships in city centers such as Cairo and Alexandria, as well as in underserved parts on Egypt such as the Aswan Region and others. The Academic Advisor reports to the Component A Team Leader and will be based in Cairo, Egypt.
Qualifications • Must be of Egyptian nationality; • Experience working with academic institutions on entrepreneurship skills and curriculum development linking trainings and curriculum to of the market and private sector needs; • A degree in business, education, or related field; • Prior experience working with women and youth on entrepreneurship issues; • Strong understanding of the Egyptian academic landscape and ability to work with academics to promote mentorship and curriculum development; • General awareness of key players in the entrepreneurship/incubator sphere and academic sector; • Experience working in underserved areas throughout Egypt preferred; • Prior USAID experience preferred.
