Organise and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of Finance activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner. Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner. Supervises the day-to-day operations of Finance to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures. Assist In recording all AP transactions through the Three Way Matching (PO,GRN and the Invoice). Follow up AP reports (AP trial balance, advances to vendors and its aging, Accounts Payable trial balance and purchasing accruals report) in order to meet the deadline of monthly closing. Review all suppliers’ contracts, and advice on its financial terms, file it and ensure the application of the contract on every payment. Obtains the necessary approval for all invoices and validates against contract requirements.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college in Accounting, Finance, relevant experience in accounting field. Preferable previous experience in ERP System. Knowledge of accounting systems, which includes system processes and data flow. A good knowledge & understanding of the Accounts Payable function. Fair knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles,(IFRS)
