The SEED Network Administrator will be responsible for the installation, care and maintenance of the project’s ICT eco-system. This includes but is not limited to the network, individual laptops and desktops, monitors, Wi-Fi, Ethernet system, server, website, emails, social media linkages, and all other ICT related components. As such, the Network Administrator must have strong IT technical support and system administration skills. In addition, experience working with networking technologies is required. The Network Administrator will provide support to project management and staff and report directly to the ICT Integration Team Lead. - Troubleshoots network performance & Network Traffic issues. - Performs upgrades, patches, and working with new applications and equipment. - Install work related software on workstations (such as MS office and anti-virus definitions), as needed. - Sets up access to internet, email, file servers and printers. - Perform regularly scheduled backups of project data. - Trouble shoot office equipment technical problems. - Install and deploy Antivirus and Anti-spam, as directed. - Update operating system and antivirus software, as needed. - Implement system security procedures and monitoring system security
Qualifications • Experience working as a network administrator, preferably in a small organization of between 20-50 staff preferred. • A degree or certificate in computer science, ICT, or related field; • Must be of Egyptian nationality • Prior experience working with Microsoft software systems; • Strong understanding of the Egyptian constraints, opportunities and methodologies to ensure fast, reliable internet connectivity; • General awareness of the latest and most applicable technologies that could better serve SEED project needs; • Experience working in economic development arena preferred; • Prior USAID project experience preferred.
