1. Act as a medical resource to the company as a whole and particularly to the clinical research department (protocol and CRF writing, adverse events, discussions with investigators, and internal meetings). 2. Provide the planning and leadership to the Medical department by ensuring that appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed. 3. Ensure effective team communication throughout the department through the application of suitable reporting systems and structures and the identification and provision of appropriate training. 4. Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge in therapeutic areas relevant to the company products, and provide appropriate overall operational input into the company clinical research objectives. 5. Review all clinical trials documents for medical accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations. 6. Develop presentation materials as required. 7. Ensure all clinical research activities are compliant with the project milestones, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines. 8. Act as a medical resource to the company as a whole and particularly to the clinical research department (protocol and CRF writing, adverse events, discussions with investigators, internal meetings). 9. Assume overall management of all the clinical trials conducted by the company. 10. Provide medical expertise and input in the review of proposed study protocols and/or Clinical Development Plans, adverse experiences and discuss patient management issues with investigators. 11. Conduct appropriate review of patients’ data (e.g. patient profiles, e-CRF data, etc.). 12. Provide expert scientific advice and leadership while managing a broad range of activities associated with the assigned products and therapeutic areas. 13. Maintain a network of experts and potential investigators within the relevant therapeutic fields. 14. Ensure medical and scientific training to the monitoring team and others.
Qualifications 1- MBBCh, B.Pharm or Pharm.D (MSc or PhD degree is a plus) 2- 3 plus years’ experience in Clinical trials or Clinical Research, and be able to interact authoritatively with principal investigators. 3- Knowledge of medicine & science as GCP driven. 4- Highly effective communicator both orally and in writing; can get ideas across one-on-one, in group settings as well as in presentations. 5- Ability to form relationships quickly and have demonstrable persuasive abilities. 6- Highly organized with attention to details. 7- Solid negotiation and decision making skills. 8- Innovative and pro-active. 9- Results-oriented attitude.
