Welcome parents and visitors coming to the school, and ensure they sign in the visitors register Assists in all aspects of maintaining a professional front office, including but not limited to, directing incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff member in a timely, professional manner, filing and copying any work related documents. Develops a positive, welcoming and caring climate in the Front Office. Hold visitors in the reception area until directed to the person they are visiting Direct persons to correct destination within the school Type routine correspondence, memoranda, reports, records, bulletins, orders and other office documents from sources such as rough drafts, letters, notes, and oral instructions. Receives and distributes incoming mail, documents, materials and supplies following the established procedures. Ensure that students are transferred to the main reception area after school hours Forward messages received from callers to School Administration Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the school. Schedule appointments as requested and maintain an appointment diary either manually or electronically. Ensure that the reception area is tidy and maintained
Qualifications A university degree; A minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience directly involved in business, customer service, marketing; Excellent spoken and written English language proficiency. Proficiency in the Microsoft Windows environment, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and efficient typing skills Professional work experience in similar job is a preference
