Oversees and manages the development of the overall budget. Ensures the appropriate and fair execution of the performance appraisal process among the Accounting, Budgeting and Costing Departments. Recommends salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on employee performance. ·Conducts monthly· progress· meetings with- -the· Accounting, Budgeting & Costing and Treasury department heads to discuss progress and status and identify issues, obstacles and potential risks related to each department. Liaises with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs from Accounting, Budgeting and Costing. Establishes appropriate systems for measuring the effectiveness of Accounting, Budgeting and Costing development. Supervises the periodic reviews to the Chart of Accounts. Studies and recommends changes to the Chart of Accounts if deemed necessary. Oversees communication plans between SRPC and Tax Authorities. Abides by the authorities granted to the position as per the Companys Delegation of Authority Matrix. Provides management with monthly reports comparing actual versus budget figures for all departments. Facilitates the provision of information to external auditors when needed and acts as liaison during quarterly and year end audits. Provides preliminary approval on audited financial statements. Provides preliminary approval, to the finance function budget. Oversees the closing of accounts process including reversing, adjusting and reconciling entries. Oversees asset acquisition records, sale and depreciation and ensures its accuracy. Interviews applicants and preliminary approves prospective employees within the Finance and Accounting Department. Keeps abreast of any changes and development in International Accounting Standards and ensures the Company compliance to these standards. Executes the responsibilities of Financial Controller according to the documented Delegation of Authority Matrix.
Qualifications University degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience; Approximately 10 - 15 years of related experience; Professional certificate (CPA, CMA) or Master’s degree in Accounting; Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate, delegate and integrate all activities involved in accounting operations; Knowledge of computerized information systems used in accounting applications; Excellent judgment, tact, and decision-making ability; Exceptional management, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; Excellent knowledge of both Arabic and English language (speaking, reading and writing) Proven track record.
