Assumes responsibility for the accounting function related to processing of accounting entries, consolidation of accounts, and maintenance of books of accounts. Supervises the preparation of the monthly financial statements, including expenditure reports to departments. Supervises the preparation of reconciliations and analysis for various balance sheet accounts to ensure the integrity of financial data. · Supervises ad hoc financial analysis as required. Reviews and provides inputs on complex issues relating to accounting treatment of financial transactions, taxation, fixed assets and foreign exchange transactions. Supervises all financial activities related to month-end/year-end financial closing. Ensures effective management of fixed assets in relation to the Finance and Accounting department. Executes the responsibilities of a General Ledger Section Head in accordance with the documented Delegation of Authority Matrix.
Qualifications University degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience; Approximately 5 - 7 years of related experience; Professional certificate (CPA, CMA, or MBA) is preferred; Knowledge of computerized information systems used in accounting applications; Excellent judgment, tact, and decision-making ability; Exceptional supervisory, interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills; Excellent knowledge of both Arabic and English language (speaking, reading and writing); and Proven track record.
