Purpose: The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for managing of the infrastructure supporting Sinai University’s corporate and hosted services, analyzing and reporting on current trends and statuses, training team members and help desk staff to build skills and improve knowledge throughout the organization. Principal Accountabilities: • Administers full range of Windows System duties including security patching and troubleshooting • Participates in new projects and maintains Windows systems. • Administers and manages Active Directory (manages objects and groups), and must have working knowledge of ADFS and able to create new SSO requests. • Works on Upgrading Windows systems w2008 or build new 2012 systems. This could be physical for Virtual servers. • The position holder is responsible for backend infrastructure (Windows Server and VMware server). • Setts up, customizes, configures, troubleshoots and maintains new and existing Windows infrastructure. • Maintains system documentation and knowledge transfer of any new or updated system. • Tunes system performance. • Validates and implements critical system patches via Microsoft Update. • Manages systems via Vsphere. • Monitors and corrects issues involving, disk, memory, and CPU. • Supports ad hoc requests from development teams.
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: • Bachelor degree in any relevant field • MCSA Certified (preferred) Experience: More than 2 Years

Other Skills Skills: Virtualization - VMWare vSphere - VCP certified or relevant work experience. • Experience with VMware ESX, virtualization analysis, and consolidation activities are a plus • Compute - Cisco UCS Blade servers. • Fluency in advanced troubleshooting skills, methodologies and processes experience with a converged Infrastructure Platform (Cisco UCS). • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system including scripting (powershell), deployment automation, and general system administration. • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes. • Experience in network attached storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies such as EMC is desired. • Ability to quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems (research skills). • Ability to work independently (critical) and as part of a team. • Perform advanced problem analysis, issue trending, and outage management.
