Write “clean”, well designed code. Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality. Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules. Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges. Participate in software design discussions. Ensure all code that goes to production is of top quality. Contribute in all phases of the development life-cycle.
Qualifications 5+ years with object-oriented programming in PHP. 2+ years with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (symfony is preferred). Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP. Good knowledge of version control tools and of developing web services. Understanding accessibility and security compliance Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes. Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
