Description I. Job Purpose
In this position you help management to determine and maintain costs. You should be able to maintain strict adherence to a corporate budget and find ways to increase company profits.
II. Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Monitor the financial progress of a project.
- Compute operating fixed and variable costs and compare such costs to budgets.
- Report periodic financial statements to a companys finance chief and ensure that accounting procedures and systems are adequate and functional.
- Prepare a forecast for the project and regularly update this throughout the project.
Qualifications III. Qualifications & Skills - Education: You will need a bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business administration. - Experience: Minimum experience required is 1-3 years in the same field. o Have an analytical approach to work; high numeracy and technical skills. o Have problem-solving skills; strong attention to details. o Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize. o Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
